The villa is located 2.5 km away from the city of Zakynthos, 500 m from the sea and about 5 km from the airport, Zakynthos’ Venetian castle is within walking distance along with the manor of the national Greek poet, Dionisios Solomos, at Stranis Hill, where Solomos composed the Hellenic National Anthem. The villa has two floors and a basement and can accommodate up to 8 people. It comprises of:

All rooms have wooden, antiquated and specially-processed floors.The villa has a spacious living-room with a fireplace and a staircase leads to the luxurious dining room, with a view to the Ionian Sea.

Is also provides a fully equipped traditional kitchen, directly linked with the cellar in the basement.

It has independent heating in every storey, Full A/C, garage, store-room with a washing machine and a drier as well as an alarm system. A cellar with the villas’ own traditional and fine wine selection.

External Spaces

The premises are surrounded by a traditionally styled stone wall with a remotely controlled and surveyed gate system that can be used inside or outside the house.

Akrotiri is a suburb of Zakynthos Town, extending throughout an elongated hill at the north side of Bochali. It is full of olive groves, orchards and gardens. It has accommodated many of the famous mansions of the Nobles of the island (Stranis, Sergeant, Sigouros, Solomos, Loytzis etc).

The poet Ugo Foscolo, in one of his letters, reports that it is one of the most beautiful and inspiring places and had expressed his wish to live all his life there.

At Akrotiri on the “Hill of Stranis”, Dionisios Solomos wrote the “Hymn to the freedom” (Greece’s National Anthem) and on one of its other sides, the “Kokkinos Vrachos” (Red Cliff), Grigorios Xenopoulos places the plot of his work “Fotini Santri”.

Another poet, Yiannis Tsakasianos, also makes a reference to Akrotiri in his work, the “Zakynthian Sparrow”.

The tour of Akrotiri from the hummock (Stavros Place) or from its northern edge (Krioneri) has always attracted the Zakynthian people and is their favourite stroll.
