The picturesque village of Tragaki is next to Tsilivi. It is 8km from Zakynthos. The settlement is built in a privileged location viewing the Ionian Sea between verdurous grounds. Holy Mary of Dermatas Monastery (or Panaghia Dermatousa), in northern Tragaki, is an architectural monument of considerable value. The monastery is located in Dermatas Bocage, property of the Municipality, a cypress-dell extending 14.000 square meters. The area around the monastery is one of the most beautiful of country-side areas of the island. Dells of cypresses, kermes oaks, olive-groves, gardens, springs and rich vegetation hug every side of this holy place's remains.

Beaches
The sandy beach of Tragaki is located 11 km north of Zakynthos town. In this non-multitudinous beach you can enjoy swimming in the calm, clear water, sun-bathe and enjoy the water sports. The sea deepens gradually so it is suitable even for children.
Shopping
There are some mini-markets in Tragaki, along with other shops, like groceries, bakeries and gift-shops, many of these offers a rich variety of traditional products or sweets, like "mandolato" and "pastel", made with honey and almonds.
Nightlife
Nightlife in Tragaki is not very busy. You can have your drink in a café or in a small bar and of course you can always visit one of the restaurants in the area for a great dinner and then take a shot at dancing Greek traditional dances!
